Afrikan Boy (Olushola Ajose) is a British-Nigerian rapper, singer, songwriter and producer whose distinctive blend of Afrobeats, grime, hip hop and African rhythms has earned him an international reputation as one of the UK’s most dynamic live performers.
He first broke through with the cult hit “One Day I Went to Lidl“, leading to collaborations and world tours with M.I.A., recordings with DJ Shadow, and a MOBO Award nomination for his debut album The ABCD. Over the years, he has shared stages with artists including Damon Albarn, Baaba Maal, Seun and Femi Kuti, Mark Ronson, and John Paul Jones of Led Zeppelin, while performing at festivals and venues across Europe, Africa and North America.
